Axanar vessel found drifting with its crew dead in Fight or Flight, giving Enterprise an unsettling early encounter in its first weeks of exploration.
The Axanar ship was found adrift and damaged in Fight or Flight, only a few weeks into Enterprise's mission in 2151. The away team found its crew dead, hanging upside down with tubes in their chests, and the frightened team withdrew.
Archer chose to go back, and the crew discovered that the Axanar had been killed by aliens harvesting a substance from their bodies. Hoshi Sato overcame her nerves to communicate with an arriving Axanar vessel, which joined Enterprise in driving off the attackers and rescuing the survivors.
