The Remmler Array is a station built to decontaminate starships by sweeping them with a baryon beam. The process is harmless to the ship but deadly to anything alive, so vessels must be fully evacuated before it begins.
In Starship Mine, the Enterprise docks at the array and its crew goes to a planetside base. Picard returns to the ship to retrieve his saddle and discovers thieves led by Kelsey attempting to steal trilithium resin, forcing him to stop them while the beam moves through the ship.
