Gamma Quadrant homeworld of the Rakhari, ruled by a government that persecuted the fugitive Croden and his family.
Rakhar is the homeworld of the Rakhari in the Gamma Quadrant. In Vortex, its government demands the return of Croden, a Rakhari who has been arrested on Deep Space Nine after a deadly robbery, and Sisko sends Odo to take him back.
On the journey Croden claims that shapeshifters once lived on Rakhar before being driven away, and tells Odo that he was a political prisoner whose family was killed by the regime. Odo ultimately chooses not to deliver him and his daughter to Rakhar.
