Faan Alpha is a world in Federation space resembling Qo'noS, offered to the endangered Klingons and claimed through a staged conquest.
Faan Alpha is a planet in Federation space whose conditions are almost identical to those of Qo'noS, which was destroyed along with the Klingon Empire during the Burn. In Vox in Excelso, Admiral Vance and Chancellor Ake propose it as a refuge for the surviving Klingons.
General Obel Wochak refuses to accept the world as charity, since Klingon tradition demands a homeworld be won by conquest. At Jay-Den Kraag's suggestion, Vance and Ake stage a battle so the Klingons can claim Faan Alpha as their new home.
