The homeworld of the half-black, half-white Cheronians, whose ancient racial hatred destroyed their entire people.
Cheron is the homeworld of the Cheronians, whose two races were distinguished only by which side of their faces was black and which was white. Each regarded the other as inferior, and their hatred drove them toward war.
In Let That Be Your Last Battlefield, the fugitive Lokai and his pursuer Bele reach Cheron aboard the Enterprise and find that its inhabitants have destroyed each other. Even after learning that their world is dead, the two continue to fight, and they beam down to the ruins.
