American actor and director who played helmsman Tom Paris on Voyager after appearing as cadet Nicholas Locarno on The Next Generation.
Robert Duncan McNeill is an American actor, director and producer, born in 1964. His first Star Trek role came in The Next Generation episode The First Duty, as Nicholas Locarno, a Starfleet Academy cadet who pressures his squad, including Wesley Crusher, to cover up a fatal accident.
On Star Trek: Voyager he played Tom Paris, a disgraced former Starfleet officer recruited from a penal colony who became the ship's pilot and later married B'Elanna Torres. Paris shared much of Locarno's backstory, and McNeill played him from 1995 to 2001. He also began his directing career on the series, helming four episodes.
McNeill has since concentrated on directing and producing, including episodes of Star Trek: Enterprise and work as executive producer and frequent director of Chuck, Resident Alien and The Gifted.
