Syrian-American actor who played the Klingon commander Kang in The Original Series, Deep Space Nine and Voyager.
Michael Ansara (1922–2013) was a Syrian-born American actor known for film and television westerns, historical epics and science fiction, including the role of Cochise in the series Broken Arrow and the voice of Mr. Freeze in Batman: The Animated Series.
In Day of the Dove (1968) Ansara played Kang, the Klingon commander manipulated by an alien entity into fighting Kirk's crew aboard the Enterprise. He returned as Kang in the Deep Space Nine episode Blood Oath and in the Voyager episode Flashback, making him one of the few actors to play the same character in three Star Trek series.
