American actress and journalist who played the eager young engineer Ensign Sonya Gomez on The Next Generation.
Lycia Naff, an American actress born in 1962, played Ensign Sonya Gomez, a nervous but enthusiastic engineer who memorably spills hot chocolate on Captain Picard in Q Who. Gomez appeared again in Samaritan Snare, working under Geordi La Forge during his attempt to repair a Pakled ship.
Naff is also known for a small role in Total Recall, and she later pursued a career in journalism.
