American screenwriting brothers who created and ran the animated series Star Trek: Prodigy.
Kevin Hageman and Dan Hageman, known professionally as the Hageman Brothers, are American screenwriters and television producers. Before Star Trek they wrote for Ninjago and Trollhunters: Tales of Arcadia and worked on features including Hotel Transylvania, The Lego Movie and The Croods: A New Age.
The brothers created Star Trek: Prodigy, an animated series aimed at younger audiences, and served as its showrunners. The show follows a group of young outcasts who discover the abandoned starship Protostar in the Delta Quadrant, guided by a training hologram of Kathryn Janeway, beginning with Lost and Found.
After its first season premiered on Paramount+ and Nickelodeon, Prodigy was dropped by Paramount+, and its second season was released on Netflix in 2024, with the brothers continuing to steer the story through its conclusion and the crew's entry into Starfleet as cadets.
