Brannon Braga

Writer and producer

American writer and producer who rose from intern on The Next Generation to co-write two films, run Voyager and co-create Enterprise.

Brannon Braga, an American writer and producer born in 1965, began on Star Trek: The Next Generation in 1990 as an intern through the Television Academy Foundation's program and became a staff writer and eventually a co-producer for the final season. His scripts favored high-concept puzzles, among them Cause and Effect, Frame of Mind, Parallels and Timescape, and he co-wrote the series finale All Good Things... with Ronald D. Moore.
With Moore he also wrote the screenplays for Star Trek Generations and Star Trek: First Contact. Braga then moved to Star Trek: Voyager, where he became executive producer and showrunner until the end of its sixth season, before co-creating Star Trek: Enterprise with Rick Berman.
Credited on more than one hundred Star Trek episodes, more than any other writer in the franchise, Braga later worked on 24, co-created FlashForward, produced Cosmos and became an executive producer of The Orville.
