A group of former Borg drones in the Delta Quadrant who, freed from the Collective, formed a linked community called the Cooperative.
The Cooperative was formed by former drones whose cube was disabled by an electrokinetic storm, severing them from the Collective. Stranded on a planet, they split into hostile factions until a group led by Riley Frazier sought a way to restore a voluntary neural link.
In 2373 they rescued an injured Chakotay and healed him by temporarily linking him to their minds. They then used that link to persuade him to reactivate a derelict Borg cube so they could establish their new collective. The Cooperative was formed, and the cube was then destroyed.
