The military arm of the Andorian Empire in the 22nd century, in which Shran served as a commander.
The Andorian Imperial Guard is the armed force of the Andorian Empire, crewing its warships and defending its interests against the Vulcans and other rivals. Its officers are known for their fierce pride and their readiness for combat.
Commander Shran of the Imperial Guard is a recurring figure in Enterprise, first clashing with Jonathan Archer in The Andorian Incident and later fighting at his side. In Proving Ground, Shran's ship follows Enterprise into the Delphic Expanse during the Xindi crisis.
