The 2259 Kelvin-timeline mission in which Kirk went to the Klingon homeworld to capture Khan instead of killing him with experimental torpedoes.
Admiral Marcus ordered Kirk to fire 72 experimental torpedoes at Khan's hiding place on Qo'noS. Kirk chose to capture him instead, and took a small team to the planet's surface in a small ship.
A Klingon patrol caught the team, and Khan killed the Klingons himself. When he heard how many torpedoes were aimed at him, he surrendered. Khan then revealed his real identity and that his own crew were hidden inside the torpedoes, exposing Marcus's secret plans.
