In 2123 the SS Mariposa left Earth carrying colonists who founded the Bringloidi settlement and, after a crash, the cloned society of Mariposa.
The Mariposa was a colony ship launched from Earth in 2123. It carried a community that rejected advanced technology in favour of a simple agrarian life, and a group of scientists. The agrarian colonists settled on Bringloid V, while the ship continued on and crashed on another planet, where five survivors used cloning to build a society.
In 2365 the Enterprise-D rescued the Bringloidi from solar flares and found the Mariposans suffering from replicative fading. Picard persuaded the two groups to join together and found a new colony.
