Danilo Odell was the easygoing leader of the Bringloidi, a colony of humans living a simple agrarian life on Bringloid V.
Danilo Odell led the Bringloidi colony in Up the Long Ladder. His people were descended from passengers of the SS Mariposa who followed a philosophy of returning to a simple pre-industrial way of life, and they faced death when solar flares threatened their planet, Bringloid V.
The Enterprise took the Bringloidi aboard, livestock and all. Odell told Picard about a second colony founded by the same ship. That colony of clones needed new genetic material, and Odell's people agreed to settle alongside them, combining the two groups into one community. Barrie Ingham played him.
