The crew learns of the death of Morn and a fortune of latinum.
Morn is reported killed in an ion storm, and Quark learns he has inherited Morn's estate, which appears to be worthless. Then visitors start arriving: a woman claiming to be Morn's ex-wife, two brothers saying Morn owes them money, and a man posing as an official from Morn's homeworld. Each says Morn had a huge stash of latinum, and Quark tracks it to an account in the Bank of Bolias.
The visitors turn out to be Morn's partners in a bank robbery years earlier who saw him flee with the money, back to collect now that the statute of limitations has run out. Quark arranges a split, they fight over the delivery, and Odo arrests them, but the gold arrives empty of latinum. Morn then walks into the bar alive, having faked his death, and gives Quark a share of the latinum he hid in his second stomach. The sixth-season comedy finally puts the silent regular at the center.
