The crew teams up with the Jem'Hadar to destroy a Dominion weapon.
Rogue Jem'Hadar attack the station, and Sisko takes the Defiant into the Gamma Quadrant after them. The crew rescues the Vorta Weyoun and Jem'Hadar soldiers under Omet'iklan, and Weyoun explains that the renegades are trying to repair an Iconian gateway that would let them travel anywhere instantly. Sisko joins forces with the Dominion to destroy it.
The two groups barely tolerate each other, and Omet'iklan executes his second-in-command for fighting Worf. They destroy the gateway after a bloody fight. Omet'iklan then kills Weyoun for doubting his loyalty, and lets Sisko go.
