Q returns to propose a child with Janeway.
Q returns and asks Janeway to have a child with him as part of a plan to resolve a civil war in the Q Continuum, which has broken out and begun to spill into the real universe. The war appears on Voyager in the form of a battle on the ship.
The episode is a comedy, with the Continuum conflict set against the backdrop of the American Civil War. It is a lighter story than the previous appearance of Q, and it makes use of Janeway's wit and her resistance to his charm, while building to the introduction of a new member of the Q.
