Adventurous pilot who was the fifth host of the Dax symbiont, embodied by Julian Bashir during Jadzia's zhian'tara.
Torias Dax was the fifth host of the Dax symbiont, an adventurous pilot. He is mentioned in Equilibrium as Sisko and Bashir look into the history of the Dax hosts while searching for the cause of Jadzia's breakdown.
In Facets, Bashir accepts Torias's memories during the zhian'tara and briefly becomes the daring pilot, giving Jadzia a chance to meet the host whose love of speed and risk still echoes in her. His visit is part of the procession of former hosts that ends with Jadzia's confrontation with Curzon.
