A young member of an austere alien delegation who, escorted around Voyager by Neelix, eagerly broke every rule of his strict culture.
Tomin is a guest aboard Voyager in Someone to Watch Over Me, while Janeway and Tuvok visit his people's colony. Neelix is assigned to escort him, expecting a reserved and disciplined visitor, and is surprised when Tomin abandons his people's strict regime to sample Voyager's food, entertainment and company.
His indulgence goes too far when his physiology reacts badly to synthahol, leaving him drunk on the eve of a reception and of his elder's return. Neelix, the Doctor and Seven of Nine use Borg nanoprobes to clear the synthahol from his system so that he can present himself in time.
