A lonely telepath who offers to help find the Xindi if Hoshi Sato stays with him.
Tarquin is an alien telepath living alone on an isolated planet. In Exile he contacts Hoshi Sato telepathically, appearing to her in human form, and offers to read a piece of the Xindi probe to help Enterprise locate the weapon's builders, on condition that Sato stays with him while he works.
Sato learns that he has watched her for some time and that the graves of four earlier companions lie outside his home. She refuses to stay and threatens his telepathic equipment, and he lets her go. The coordinates he provides lead Enterprise to its next target.
