Talur is the healer of a village on Barkon IV. She examines the amnesiac Data when he arrives and concludes that he must be an ice-man from the north.
In Thine Own Self, the villagers begin to fall ill from radiation poisoning caused by the fragments of a crashed probe. Talur does not recognize the symptoms, but Data uses his scientific methods to show her that the metal is to blame. With her help he tries to warn the villagers, though their fear turns them against him.
