The weary Federation consul on Nimbus III who is taken hostage by Sybok along with the Klingon and Romulan envoys in Star Trek V.
St. John Talbot is the Federation's representative on Nimbus III, the so-called Planet of Galactic Peace jointly run by the Federation, the Klingons and the Romulans. In Star Trek V: The Final Frontier, he has become cynical and fond of drink after years in the failed experiment.
Talbot, the Klingon General Korrd and the Romulan Caithlin Dar are seized by Sybok and his followers in Paradise City, as a means of luring a starship to the planet. Kirk's rescue attempt fails and Sybok takes control of the Enterprise, with the envoys falling under his influence. Talbot was played by David Warner.
