The tribal medicine chief who resents Kirk for taking his place and his promised bride Miramanee in The Paradise Syndrome.
Salish is the medicine chief of a tribe of Native Americans transplanted by the Preservers to a distant planet. In The Paradise Syndrome he is promised to Miramanee, but when Kirk, who has lost his memory, appears from the temple and saves a drowning boy, the tribe hails him as a god and Kirk is made medicine chief in Salish's place.
Salish nurses his resentment, and when Kirk cannot stop the coming asteroid by entering the temple, he leads the tribe in stoning Kirk and Miramanee, who is fatally injured. He was played by Rudy Solari.
