The leader of a Kelvan expedition from the Andromeda galaxy, who seized the Enterprise to carry his people home across intergalactic space.
Rojan leads a group of Kelvans who come from the Andromeda galaxy seeking new worlds, because their own is threatened by rising radiation. Taking humanoid form, they capture the Enterprise, reduce most of the crew to small blocks of matter, and set the ship on a centuries-long journey back to Andromeda.
Kirk and his officers exploit the Kelvans' unfamiliarity with human senses and feelings, provoking jealousy in Rojan over his companion Kelinda. Unsettled, Rojan finally agrees to settle peacefully on a world in the Milky Way. He was played by Warren Stevens.
