A Kelvan in human form aboard the hijacked Enterprise whose new emotions are manipulated by Spock and McCoy in By Any Other Name.
Hanar is one of the Kelvans who take over the Enterprise in By Any Other Name, using their technology to reduce most of the crew to small blocks while keeping a handful of officers to run the ship.
As part of the plan to unsettle the invaders, Spock and McCoy give Hanar injections of stimulants disguised as nutritional supplements, making him irritable and aggressive. His emotional outbursts help divide the Kelvans and weaken Rojan's control. He was played by Stewart Moss.
