Perrin was the human wife of Ambassador Sarek, who stood by him through his illness and protected his reputation.
Perrin was the second human wife of the Vulcan ambassador Sarek, after Amanda Grayson. She accompanied him aboard the Enterprise in Sarek, where he was to conclude negotiations with the Legarans before retiring, and she was devoted to him and to his work.
Sarek was suffering from Bendii syndrome, a disease that eroded his emotional control and caused his feelings to spill out telepathically, affecting the crew. Perrin tried to shield him from the truth being exposed. When it could not be hidden, she suggested that Sarek mind meld with someone else so he could get through the conference, and Picard accepted.
After the meld Picard was able to tell her how deeply Sarek loved her, though he could not say so. Perrin appeared again in Unification, after Sarek's death, still protective of his memory. Joanna Miles played her.
