A young refugee who survived the Gorn hatchlings aboard the USS Peregrine and whom La'an left the Enterprise to help.
Oriana is a young refugee in All Those Who Wander. She is one of three refugees carried by the USS Peregrine, which crashed on an ice planet, and she survives alongside her alien companion Buckley after Gorn hatchlings kill the ship's crew.
Buckley is also infected and dies when the hatchlings emerge. After the Enterprise team defeats the last hatchling at the cost of Hemmer's life, La'an Noonien-Singh, herself a childhood Gorn survivor, takes a leave of absence to help Oriana find her family.
