Captain of the USS Bozeman, whose ship was trapped in a temporal causality loop for about 90 years before colliding with the Enterprise-D.
Morgan Bateson commanded the USS Bozeman, which in 2278 became trapped in the same temporal causality loop as the Enterprise-D. In Cause and Effect the Enterprise repeatedly collided with the Bozeman and was destroyed, with each repetition beginning again until Data sent a message to himself that let him change course.
When the loop was broken, the Bozeman emerged intact. Bateson contacted the Enterprise, and Picard told him that the year was 2368, roughly 90 years after he believed he had entered the anomaly. The role was played by Kelsey Grammer.
