The image of a long-dead Kalandan outpost commander, recreated by her computer to kill anyone who approached the planet.
Losira was the commander of an outpost built by the Kalandans on an artificial planet. Her people died of a disease they had created, and the outpost's computer was left to defend it against all intruders.
The computer projects Losira's image, which kills its targets with a single touch, and it attacks members of Kirk's landing party and crew aboard the Enterprise. Kirk and Spock reach the computer and destroy it, ending the threat. She was played by Lee Meriwether.
