Kimara Cretak is a Romulan senator who serves as the Empire's representative aboard Deep Space Nine after the Romulans join the Federation and the Klingons in the Dominion War. Shrewd and pragmatic, she is a capable ally, but she also places the interests of Romulus first.
In Image in the Sand, Cretak asks Kira Nerys to secure Bajoran permission for a Romulan hospital on the uninhabited moon Derna, but the Romulans arm it with weapons instead. In Shadows and Symbols, Kira blockades Derna, and Admiral Ross persuades the Romulans to withdraw.
In Inter Arma Enim Silent Leges, Cretak attends a conference on Romulus with Julian Bashir, who unknowingly serves as a pawn in a Section 31 operation directed by Luther Sloan. When she agrees to share classified Tal Shiar information with Bashir, she is convicted of treason; the true aim of the operation was to discredit her. Her ultimate fate is left unclear. She was played by Megan Cole and later by Adrienne Barbeau.
