A soon-to-be First Monarch kidnapped for ransom, who ends up stranded on a planet with Trip Tucker.
Kaitaama is a high-ranking young woman, soon to become First Monarch of her people, who has been abducted and held in a stasis pod aboard a Retellian cargo ship. In Precious Cargo, Trip Tucker releases her when the pod fails and learns she is being held for ransom.
Hostile at first and used to privilege, she reluctantly escapes with Tucker in an escape pod to a nearby planet. Their bickering gives way to grudging warmth before Enterprise, having located the kidnappers' ship, arrives to rescue them.
