A young girl on Barkon IV who befriended the amnesiac Data and gave him the name Jayden.
Gia is the daughter of Garvin, the magistrate of a village on Barkon IV. When a pale stranger with no memory arrives in the village, she is fascinated, names him Jayden and becomes his friend.
In Thine Own Self, Gia is alarmed when Data's mechanical interior is revealed, but she accepts that he is trying to help the villagers who are falling ill from the metal fragments. She stands by him while he works on an antidote and is one of the first to be cured.
