A human raised and trained by an unseen alien race, sent to 1968 Earth to steer humanity away from self-destruction.
Gary Seven is a twentieth-century human who was taken from Earth and trained by an advanced alien civilisation to protect humanity from destroying itself. The Enterprise, travelling back to 1968 for historical research, intercepts him as he is beamed to Earth, and Kirk and Spock are left unsure whether he is friend or enemy.
Aided by his shape-shifting cat Isis, a Beta 5 computer and his unwitting secretary Roberta Lincoln, Seven works to sabotage an orbiting nuclear weapons platform so that its failure will discourage further escalation. Kirk ultimately allows him to complete his mission. He was played by Robert Lansing.
