A Majalan physician who tried to save his son from becoming the First Servant and later joined the rebellious colony.
Gamal is a physician from Majalis who appears in Lift Us Where Suffering Cannot Reach. He is rescued by the Enterprise along with his young son, the First Servant, and Alora, after their shuttle comes under attack.
Gamal tries to fake his son's death to keep him from returning home, but he is thwarted. He had joined Majalis's rebellious colony, which objects to sacrificing children to the machine that sustains the planet. Gamal helps Joseph M'Benga with research for Rukiya's condition before leaving to join the colony.
