Alora is a leader on the planet Majalis and a former romantic interest of Christopher Pike. The Enterprise rescued her shuttle from an attacking warship, along with a boy called the First Servant and his father Gamal, and Pike agreed to bring them home. She was played by Lindy Booth.
At the boy's ascension ceremony Pike learned the truth: Majalis remained a paradise only because a child was connected to the machine that ran the planet, and the previous First Servant had died in it. Alora defended the practice as the price of her world's peace, and Pike was horrified but unable to stop it.
