A Malon survivor of a crippled theta waste freighter who helped Voyager's crew stop it exploding, and who blamed the deaths aboard on a Malon legend.
Fesek is one of two Malon rescued from escape pods in Juggernaut. His freighter, loaded with theta radiation waste, is set to explode with enough force to devastate three light years of space, and he and his crewmate Pelk lead Chakotay, B'Elanna Torres and Neelix aboard to restore its containment.
When Pelk is killed, Fesek blames the Vihaar, a creature of Malon folklore. The attacker turns out to be a Malon worker mutated by long exposure to the radiation. Fesek's indifference to the safety of the workers angers Torres, who must keep her temper in check during the mission.
