The engineer of a crashed Kantare ship who recreated its lost crew as holograms out of guilt.
Ezral was the chief engineer of a Kantare transport ship that crashed on a planet some twenty-two years before Enterprise arrives. In Oasis he greets the away team alongside the ship's captain and crew and accepts Archer's offer of help, claiming the vessel was attacked by raiders.
The truth is that half the crew died in an ion storm because of his negligence, and nearly everyone aboard is a hologram he created, including his late wife. Only Ezral and his daughter Liana are real. Ezral was played by Rene Auberjonois.
