Edward La Forge

Edward La Forge is Geordi La Forge's father, a Starfleet officer and husband of Captain Silva La Forge. When Silva's ship, the Hera, disappears, he urges Geordi to accept that she is probably gone.
In Interface, Edward speaks with his son over subspace as Geordi wrestles with the possibility that his mother might still be alive. His calm and loving acceptance contrasts with Geordi's desperate hope, which leads Geordi to disobey Picard's orders. He was played by Ben Vereen.
