The queen of the hyper-accelerated Scalosians who takes Kirk as her mate in Wink of an Eye.
Deela is the queen of the Scalosians, a people who live at a vastly accelerated rate after a catastrophe on their planet, Scalos. Their men have become sterile, so the Scalosians lure passing ships to find new mates. In Wink of an Eye, Deela and her people take over the Enterprise, invisible to the crew.
Deela chooses Kirk, who is accelerated to join her. She plans to freeze the rest of the crew. Kirk resists and, with Spock's help, regains the ship, and Deela and her people are returned to Scalos. She was played by Kathie Browne.
