DaiMon Goss headed the Ferengi delegation in The Price, which was competing with the Federation, the Caldonians and the Chrysalians for the rights to the Barzan wormhole. The Ferengi used underhanded methods from the start, poisoning the Federation's negotiator, Seth Mendoza, so that he could not take part.
Goss later threatened to destroy the wormhole after hearing a false rumour that the Federation had made a secret deal with the Barzan. The wormhole proved worthless anyway, and two of his own people, Arridor and Kol, were stranded in the Delta Quadrant after testing it.
