Cyrus Redblock was a gangster character in the Dixon Hill holonovel Picard ran in The Big Goodbye. In the story, Hill's client Jessica Bradley believed Redblock was trying to kill her, and Redblock wanted an object he thought she had passed to the detective.
When a Jarada scan damaged the holodeck and disabled its safeties, Redblock and his henchman Felix Leech held Picard and his companions at gunpoint. Picard tried to explain that their world was artificial, but Redblock refused to believe it. He finally stepped through the holodeck doors and vanished outside the simulation.
