The Enterprise's counselor, whom Christopher Pike consults while working through his memory loss and his grief over Marie Batel.
Dr. Chivers, played by Deidre Hall, is the ship's counselor aboard the Enterprise in Like Chronitons Through the Hourglass. Pike visits her after waking in sickbay with apparent amnesia, but their session is interrupted as the melodrama around him escalates.
The events turn out to be a soap opera staged by Trelane. After the ship is restored to normal, Pike returns to the counselor to deal with his grief over the loss of Marie Batel.
