The cheerful and talkative commander of the Remmler Array, killed when thieves took his guests hostage.
Commander Calvin Hutchinson ran the Remmler Array, where the Enterprise-D docked to undergo a baryon sweep in Starship Mine. Known for his endless small talk, he hosted a reception for the senior officers, which Picard avoided by returning to the ship.
During the reception, members of the array staff revealed themselves to be part of a gang of thieves, took the officers hostage and killed Hutchinson. Picard, meanwhile, fought the thieves who had boarded the ship to steal trilithium resin.
