A Starfleet scientist aboard the Galileo who challenges Spock's cold logic after the shuttle is stranded on Taurus II.
Lieutenant Boma is one of the seven crew members aboard the shuttlecraft Galileo when it crashes on Taurus II in The Galileo Seven. As the hostile natives close in and the group struggles to repair the shuttle, he becomes the most outspoken critic of Spock's leadership.
Boma is angered by Spock's apparent indifference to the death of Latimer and insists on a proper burial despite the danger. His clashes with Spock help expose the limits of pure logic in command. He was played by Don Marshall.
