Borg drone who met Seven of Nine as his lover in the dream realm of Unimatrix Zero and led its resistance against the Borg Queen.
Axum was a Borg drone with the rare trait that let him enter Unimatrix Zero, a shared subconscious realm where certain drones lived as their unassimilated selves during regeneration. There he had been the lover of Seven of Nine during her time in the Collective, though she had no memory of him.
In Unimatrix Zero, Axum contacted Seven to ask for Voyager's help as the Borg Queen hunted down and destroyed the drones who visited the realm. With a nanovirus delivered by Janeway's team, the Unimatrix drones kept their memories in the waking world and began a resistance within the Collective, and Axum and Seven parted knowing they might never meet again.
