Host of the Dax symbiont who spoke to Jadzia about motherhood after taking over a reluctant Quark during the zhian'tara.
Audrid Dax was the fourth host of the Dax symbiont. In Facets, her memories are given to Quark during Jadzia's zhian'tara, much to the Ferengi's annoyance at being made to carry a female host.
Speaking through Quark, Audrid shares with Jadzia her experiences as a mother, one of the more intimate conversations of the ritual. The exchange gives Jadzia a glimpse of a part of Dax's long life she has never experienced herself. Audrid's memories then return to the symbiont as the rite continues.
