Caleb Mir's mother, separated from him by a Federation sentence, whom he searched for across the galaxy.
Anisha Mir is the mother of Caleb Mir, played by Tatiana Maslany. Desperate to avoid starvation, she struck a deal with the pirate Nus Braka to steal Federation food rations, and when Braka killed a pilot she was charged as his accomplice. Nahla Ake sentenced her to a rehabilitation facility and ordered Caleb taken as a ward of the Federation.
She escaped her sentence years later and sent Caleb messages that went unanswered until he unlocked them and found her hiding on Ukeck. Distrustful of Starfleet, she was captured by Braka along with Ake, and the two women confronted their shared past before Caleb planned to spend a summer traveling with her.
