A reptilian species best known for Saurian brandy, a favourite drink of Starfleet officers, and for Lieutenant Linus aboard Discovery.
Saurians are a reptilian humanoid species with large dark eyes and scaled skin. Their best-known export is Saurian brandy, a strong liquor that appears often in the Original Series and later shows, and is a favourite among Starfleet officers of many eras.
Saurians have also served in Starfleet. The most familiar is Lieutenant Linus, a science officer on the bridge of the USS Discovery whose good-natured personality made him a recurring and well-liked background figure throughout the series, from the 23rd century to the far future.
