Lurians

The species of Morn, the silent regular at Quark's bar

A heavyset, hairless humanoid species best known through Morn, the famously quiet customer who seems to spend every waking hour at Quark's bar.

The Lurians are a bulky humanoid species with hairless, ridged heads. They are known almost entirely through a single individual, Morn, a regular at Quark's bar on Deep Space Nine and the first Lurian ever seen on screen. Lurian physiology appears to include more than one stomach, a trait Morn used to conceal a stash of latinum.
Morn is a fixture in the background of Deep Space Nine across all seven seasons, nearly always seated on the same bar stool. The running joke is that he never speaks on camera, although other characters describe him as a nonstop talker with an endless supply of stories. In the episode Who Mourns for Morn?, he appears to have died and leaves his estate to Quark, setting off a scramble by criminals hunting for his hidden fortune, before he returns alive.
Although little is known of Lurian culture, the species became one of the most recognisable background aliens in the franchise. Morn himself is named after Norm Peterson, the regular at the bar in the sitcom Cheers.
